Hydroseeding & Erosion Control
Cover That Holds Through the First Hard Rain.
Fast, spec-driven ground cover for slopes, disturbed soil, and rights-of-way, built to hold through the first hard rain after construction.
Overview
Bare Soil Is a Deadline, Not a Condition.
Once the earthwork stops, the clock starts. Disturbed soil that is not stabilised moves in the first serious storm, and what moves off a slope ends up in a detention pond, a storm drain, or a neighbouring property, along with the inspection finding that follows it. On public work the deadline is written down: the SWPPP says when cover has to be established, and the specification says what it has to be established with.
Hydroseeding is how that gets hit at scale. Seed, mulch, tackifier and fertiliser go down in a single pass across ground no drill seeder could work, to the mix the specification names. Where slope or flow makes seed alone insufficient, blankets and silt fencing carry the site until the stand comes in.
What’s included
Every Hydroseeding & Erosion Control Project Covers This.
Scope is written down before work starts, so “that was not included” never becomes a conversation halfway through.
- Hydromulch and hydroseed application. Seed, mulch, tackifier and fertiliser applied in one pass, across slopes and disturbed ground that will not take conventional seeding.
- TxDOT-spec seed mixes and mulch blends. Mixes supplied and applied to the state’s seasonal specification rather than to whatever is on the shelf.
- Erosion control blankets and silt fencing. Installed where gradient or flow means seed alone will not hold, and keyed in properly at the top of the slope.
- Slope and detention-pond stabilisation. Embankments, cut faces and pond side slopes covered and held while the stand establishes.
- Post-construction disturbed-soil coverage. Everything the earthwork left bare brought back under cover once the heavy equipment is off the site.
- Turnaround built around SWPPP deadlines. Scheduled against the dates in your plan, because cover established after the inspection is not much use to anybody.
What goes down on the slope
- Specified seed mixes
- Wood and blended hydromulch
- Tackifiers and binders
- Starter fertiliser
- Erosion control blankets
- Silt fence and wattles
- Staples and keying trench

How it works
Four Steps, No Surprises.
You will always know what happens next, who is coming, and what it costs before work starts.
-
01
Consult & Assess
We walk the property together, test the soil and drainage, and listen to how you actually want to use the space. Free, and about an hour.
-
02
Design & Plan
You get a scaled plan, a planting palette, and a line-item budget. We revise it with you until it is right: on paper, not on site.
-
03
Build & Install
Our crews handle grading, hardscape, irrigation, and planting in sequence, with a named lead on site and a weekly progress update.
-
04
Nurture & Maintain
A garden is not finished the day it is planted. We stay on through establishment and, if you like, for the years after.

The four things people ask us most before booking this work.
Something not covered?
Call (832) 692-3165 and speak to the person who would run your project.
Germination is typically a couple of weeks in the right season, with a holding stand not long after, though it depends entirely on the mix, the temperature and whether the site gets water. The mulch and tackifier hold the soil in the meantime, which is the part the SWPPP cares about.
Yes. Seed mixes, mulch blends and application rates are supplied to the state specification for the season and location, and the application is documented for the project record.
It is a question of gradient and flow. On moderate slopes hydromulch with a tackifier will hold on its own. On steep faces, in channels, or anywhere concentrated flow crosses the surface, blanket goes down over the seed. We will tell you which on the site visit rather than pricing the more expensive one by default.
Seeding, blankets, silt fence and wattles, yes. We work to the SWPPP your engineer has prepared and coordinate the sequence with the earthwork contractor so cover follows the grading instead of waiting on it.
